HD-2000 is the foundation for all Enseo Set Top Boxes.  Over 250,000 units have been installed in one flavor or another in hotels, cruise liners, hospitals, stadiums, classrooms and more, making HD-2000 a more than proven solution.  

The appliance is a multi-source video decoder that handles full frame RF and IPTV feeds, including Pro:Idiom Decryption on both inputs.  For ADA compliance in every environment, HD-2000 RF and IP tuners decode all 9 protocols used in closed captioning.  The standard HD-2000 also has a component input and the 2000A adds two HDMI inputs that handle HDCP sources. 

Both tuned and/or external video feeds are individually mapped to a virtual channel inside the player, so you can cherry-pick up to 99,999 sources.  HD-2000 then acts as a simple switch between sources.  For example, an IP stream at a particular URL and Port can be switched to an HDMI input on the box using a simple CH-UP or CH-DN command.  This can be done using an IR remote or 3rd party control system over the serial connection. 

To further simplify programming and installation, HD-2000 and Cassini integrate seamlessly with over 120 commercial TV’s, Monitors and Projectors – actually recognizing and reprogramming itself with the proper control codes to communicate with the display.  This allows a programmer to send generic commands like ON, OFF, GOTO CH to any display rather than writing unique code for each.  Should a display need to be replaced with another model down the road, HD-2000 just reprograms itself to the new TV and keeps on working.  In fact, the replacement TV’s IR remote will now work in the system as well - with no reprogramming!  The remote talks directly to the HD-2000 using IR-Passthrough from the TV over a second serial port connected directly to the disply.  Taking it to another level, we also can change input sources on the display and channel map those sources, such as a VGA port, as an additional source for display!
