Cassini is a multi-source video decode and playback built on the HD-2000 platform.  Thus, Enseo Cassini offers the same source management and display control features that make all Enseo STB’s unique in the market. 

Like the HD-2000, Cassini takes in RF Channels, IP Streams, optional HDMI inputs, and can access any input on any of our 120 supported displays.  Now add an internal Opera Browser for scaling, a hardware MPEG decoder, memory for store and foward video, and Enseo’s Author Software control – that makes it a Cassini.  The current model adds a component output (which a the HD-2000 cannot because of  the Pro:Idiom Standard), and is switchable between RGBHV and YPbPr.

Using Author to program the appliance, themes can be created using graphic and text, video can be scaled to any size and any position on the screen and, and these are now mapped to any of the  99,999 available virtual channels inside the box.  Then the real power comes in.  You can easily change video sources without changing themes, or change themes without changing video sources, or change everything at once - all easily done channels using an IR Remote, a 3rd-Party Control system, or on-screen Action Buttons that Author lets you create.  As with HD-2000, just a generic CH-UP or CH-DN will do.  Author content and theme updates can be pulled form ftp, push to units on a network, or directly loaded via USB.

Add to all this, the same powerful display control as the HD-2000 series and you have a product that will dramatically simplify your 3rd party programming.  Additionally, Cassini Action Buttons can also automate internal or external processes – such as sending control commands to HVAC, Lighting, or other controllable devices in the room.
